Longer celebrations may delay the restart — opponents can be frustrated by excessive delay in public lobbies. Community testers have documented the following celebration categories: basic gestures (pointing to the sky, arm raises, fist pumps), directed celebrations (running to a specific area of the pitch — corner flag, centre circle), and expressive animations (knee slides, somersaults, team huddles). Open Beta lobbies mix experienced players who appreciate a quick restart with casual visitors who enjoy the moment. The balance is not always easy. A brief fist pump or arm raise after a scrappy goal in a public lobby is generally accepted. A 15-second knee slide after every goal, including tap-ins in a 7-0 game, will get you noticed for the wrong reasons. Community norms as of August 2026: brief celebrations (under 5 seconds) in normal play are fine. Long or repeated celebrations after dominant wins, or after goals that clearly fluked your way, can trigger chat complaints or votes to kick. Save the elaborate choreography for private scrims with friends. Celebrate, but read the room. A close-range equaliser in the last minute deserves more expression than a rebound tap-in at 5-0.
